2004-02-24 - 1:51 p.m. this love has taken a toll - maroon 5 okay, so, i'm in love with the maroon 5 album. i know i'm a little late to the cotillion, but, whatev. i got off of work a whole half hour early, last night, and went to best buy to finally buy the cd. i also bought jay-z's "black album". when i got home and showed matty, he was like, "jay-z? YOU bought jay-z?...huh". i don't know why, but, i've been wanting it since it came out. i'm not a hip hop fan per se, however, when it was just plain "rap", i was a huge fan. i'm talking, n.w.a. and run-dmc, kool moe dee, and ice-t. old shit like that. shit, that at the time, was new. after the overtly sexual rap of 2 live crew, i sorta lost interest. hey, i danced in people's garages and drank out of kegs to the soothing sounds of "hey, we want some pussy" just like everyone else, but, my heart wasn't in it. anyway, there are some hip hop artists whom i respect and think are going to be timeless. jay-z happens to be one of them. you can have ludacris, or chingy. maybe i'm just being a music snob. it wouldn't be the first time. i'm taking matt out to dinner tonight. it's his choice. i'm expecting a call any minute to let me know he's chosen ferraro's. it's his favorite place to eat. we made love this morning, and i just fell so in love with him. i don't know how to explain it. see, i'm afraid i've already messed it up. i didn't fall in love with him because of the sex. i know that's what it sounds like. it's just that kinda during, but, especially afterwards, i just had this super strong feeling of love for him. not just the things i love about his body (of which there are many) but love for him as a person. as my boyfriend and heart. he is my heart. ughhhhhhhh i'm done |
