2003-04-26 - 9:24 p.m. still in hollywood...i thought i'd be outta here by now - concrete blonde
maybe you've seen this picture in a recent issue of rolling stone magazine. i find it interesting, AND frightening. when asked what the delightfully delectable mr. timberlake thought of the strokes, he replied something like, "i really like the direction rock is taking". when asked which direction that would be, he replied, "i don't know". cute, but, uninformed. you know, i heard somewhere that the heart of rock 'n' roll is still beating, and, from what i've seen, i believe 'em. only saying. i talked to mando today, we might go to san diego to see him, and the artist next weekend. i've got some days off thanks to my jury duty haul. i don't have to be in court next friday, or the folling mon. and tues. plus, theres a sat. and sun. inbetween there. so, that's 5 days of fun, fun, fun. i guess the artist actually has a job. he's working at the gap. the perfect job for him. cute people selling cute clothes. good times. matt told me that if he can't get friday off, that we can go early saturday, and stay til monday. that's my guy. can i just say, i miss those two guys sooo much. we talk on the phone, and we email, but, it's not the same. i miss whispering my secrets to mando, and the artists smile. i miss bar hopping with them. i miss...well, i miss lots of stuff. seems a beloved dlander of mine has been on a cd bender. now i don't feel so bad cuz i've been bingeing myself. the d4, party of helicopters, the grand mal, bob dylan's blonde on blonde, uncle tupelo's greatest hits, and i got an old new order cd, technique. it's a really good cd. if you like new order, that is. i'm a music junkie. i guess i'm done. i can't wait to go to san diego now. alls i know is i'm going to the gap, and taking advantage of the artists employee discount. whoopee!! later... |
