In Love With Your Best Friend!

Which Strokes Fanfiction Clich Are You?

You are In Love With Your Best Friend!

You're a Stroke, and you happen to be madly in love with another Stroke. He might know it and he might not, but it eats away at your heart and you'd give anything to be with him. All you can think about is how much you want him, and it's starting to interfere with your day-to-day life. Maybe a little homoerotica is in order...

You are Miss The Good Old Days!

Which Strokes Fanfic Story Are You?

You are Miss The Good Old Days!

Julian and Albert are the only Americans at the posh Swiss boarding school Institut Le Rosey. They meet one morning while running laps for detention and form a swift and fast friendship. Together they survive school dances, girlfriends, underage drinking and more while setting the stage for a confrontation almost ten years down the road.

Miss The Good Old Days is by Katie and can be read here. (Save as a .doc file.)

Your Secret Lover is Nick!

Which Stroke Is Your Secret Lover?

Your Secret Lover is Nick!

Dear Nick is a bit of a slut, but you've got him for now -- are you, by any chance, blonde? Chances are you met at a party, and spend all of your time continuing to party. Nothing saying love like sharing a line. Not a bad existence, if you ask me. This should definitely be fun while it lasts.

i'm exhausted, yet i'm up. it always takes me a coupla days to get back on smltwn time. l.a. time never actually stops. it's all a series of various tasks and/or responsibilities between drinks. drinks in bars, drinks in clubs, drinks w/ friends, drinks before dinner, after dinner drinks, drinks at (blanks) before going out for drinks. i actually didn't drink that much. maybe 6 drinks in two days, but, so much time was spent in pre, post, pre-pre, during, "drink mode", that i forgot about sleep. i'm close to going to bed, but, first, i have to at least mention the strokes show at the fabulous shrine auditorium. they were fantastic. it was talent, sex appeal, hype, fun, fabulousness on a stick. typical hipster scene. not that i wasn't rocking my own brand of said hipster uniform. i'm rambling. i'll get more into it and hopefully touch on the things that are on my mind re: the strokes, like how i sometimes marvel at the tremendous hype surrounding them, then feel guilty for questioning said hype. i love this band. make no mistake. the music is fantastic. let's not get into re-inventing the wheel, and all that shite. it's good rock music. when they segued geniusly into 12:51, i was dancing like i used to way back in the eighties (that quasi hop/skip molly ringwald thing). we used to call it "new wave dancing" back in the day, kids. yeah, i was there, man. i lived that shit. madonna bracelets up to my elbow, leather gloves with the fingertips cut off, a'la shabba doo in breakin', parachute pants, frankie say relax t shirts, and a feverish crush on mitch gaylord. rambling at warp speed now, kids. i'll give a more detailed strokes review soon. i at least had to say that they ruled. bastards.
