2002-04-01 - 11:10 p.m. i say the right thing, but act the wrong way/i like it right here, but i cannot stay...the strokes hello little friend, and you will know us by the trail of dead show in 4 days. i just bought tix to see the hives in may. i'm so totally stoked about that. coachella is in about 3 1/2 weeks. it's all about the hives. i'm finally gonna redeem myself. i went to see the intl. noise conspiracy w/ the hives, and rival schools opening. a damn fine bill. well, i thought the lineup was rival shcools/hives/i.n.c. aye, well everything that could've gone wrong did at work. so i got a late start, and i had to pick up my friend, and blah-blah-blah. anyway, i thought, so i'll miss rival schools, but as long as i get to see the hives i'll be fine. so we get to the roxy, and they're breaking down the first bands equipment, and i think, oh good we got here in time. then someone picks up the bass drum to make way for the next bands setup, and what does that bass drum say? that's right, the hives!!! oh, the humanity. so, i missed the hives. they are the band i wanted to see more than any other. don't get me wrong, rival schools, and the i.n.c. were incredible, but it was the hives that really pumped my nads. so it took me about a week to get over that one. so now i am gonna see them, and i can't wait!! work was carazy baby!! and, i want to sleep. so goodnight little friend. |
