2005-04-07 - 3:04 p.m. on your knees, boy - u2 saw u2 on tuesday at the staples center in downtown l.a. they were incredible! the stage, the lighting, the energy, and of course, the music was awesome. bono, the edge, adam and larry are pure fucking rock 'n' roll on a stick. they played for like 2 hours, and i was truly wonder struck. it was one of my favorite concert experiences bar none. i can't even explain it. it was that good. the week before that i went to amoeba and bought 10 cds. m83, the dears, bloc party, death from above 1979, old death cab, hope of the states, some really cool african funk from the 70's, mando diao, and 2 more i can't remember. i also picked up the new beck at best buy. oh, and the new hot hot heat. good stuff. i just bought tix to see hot hot heat, the bravery, and a bunch of other bands at the santa barbara bowl in june. it's one of those radio station all day kinda things. can't wait for that. things have been going well at work, and matty and i are happy as clams. i had breakfast with adam, this morning. there's this little place in santa paula which is one town away, and their specialty is chile verde. i had chile verde with eggs, beans, and hash browns with corn tortillas. it was delish. oh, i almost forgot. kings of leon opened for u2, and they ruled. they were hot sweaty rock 'n' roll. we went to a pool party last weekend. matt looked so hot with his board shorts hanging off his hips. according to our hosts, a gay older couple who matt knows, i should never wear a shirt. that was a nice compliment. i hardly got shy at all. i want a pool. just floating in the water was soooo nice. we were supposed to see sin city a few days ago, and i kept matt in bed instead. he's like you're a sex maniac. i didn't hear him complaining when i was ravaging him. did anyone watch lost, last night? i can't believe they killed off boone. beautiful, beautiful boone. at least they still have matthew fox to drool over. that show is so addictive. however, i do wish we'd get some concrete facts about all the crazy shit that happens on that kooky island. i think that we're going to the movies tonight. that is, if matty still wants to and/or i don't jump him when he gets home. i watched meet the barkers on mtv, last night, and i have to say, travis barker is fucking hot. matt just doesn't get it. i love his tight, lean body and all those tattoos. yum. have i ever mentioned that one of my favorite porn stars comes to my job? well, he does. he's not a major porn star. actually, he's on fratmen.com. anyway, he was there yesterday. he always comes w/ who i can only assume is his mother. i always wonder if she knows what he does. i think maybe i'll rent some movies later. i wanna see sideways, since i never made it to the theater to see it. i'm in good spirts. i wanna do everything. i had a yummy breakfast, did a little shopping at my new favorite store. there's a store in santa paula called susie's deals. i don't know if they're national, so. cal, or what. anyway, they've got american eagle outfitter polo's for 5 bucks. everything in there is 5 bucks. they had american eagle stuff, old navy stuff, and hollister shirts. i'm feeling a little gay right now. meaning, i'm a shopping, gym going, guy watching "typical" mo. whatever. later..... |
