2004-01-14 - 9:10 a.m. we all need the human touch - rick springfield um... my dad is driving me insane. as usual, his over the top ranting and raving over the impending move is making all of us want to strangle him. hey, i'll work for him. i've been busting my ass for him. fine. but, he's the type of guy that secretly loves the drama of it all. will the plumber finish in time for the tile guy to finish in time for the carpet guy to finish, well, you get my point. meanwhile, he's there every single day, and if so and so isn't there when they say they're going to be there, oh brother. he's cussing, and complaining, and it just goes on and on. i hate having to hear it over and over. the other day, i was breaking out some tile in the kitchen, and matt called. he wanted to know if i was meeting him at the gym when he got off work. i asked my dad what else we had to do, and he was like, "if you have to go, go", "dad, i was just wondering cuz i'd like to go to the gym around 5", "oh. yeah, yeah, that's fine." sheesh. oh, and there was the crack about "putting those muscles to use" he made the other day. whatever. basically, with my dad it's always been like drop everything i need you. yet, asking him for a favor is very enter at your own risk. it's like you're asking for his left nut. that's just the way that it's always been. end of subject. on a lighter note, matt and i have been fucking like bunnies, and i love that. i love him so much. we layed in bed, last night and talked about all kinds of stuff. a kind of, state of our union undressed, if you will. we're good. i'm going back to school, and matt's getting a new car. just stuff. i think i want to see, the butterfly effect. i've had just about all the ashton kutcher i can take, but, this actually looks interesting. we also want to see "house of sand and fog", "in america", and we wanna rent "freddie vs. jason". is that totally dorky? whatever. later... |
