2003-08-18 - 9:12 a.m. i'm your joystick...take control - the dazz band friday wasn't so bad kept the mumbling to a minimum....basically eye contact was pretty gosh darned good um the blushing was a point of interest for some of the women they thought it was "adorable" i didn't get mad v.g. about halfway through dinner things took a turn i looked around the table and noticed that i was a "wife" most of matt's coworkers are men this emboldened me like i refuse to be the "little woman", you know? sitting passively being seen and not heard that sort of thing guess what? turns out matt's boss is a james ellroy freak just like me you couldn't have shut me up after we started talking about his books i also schooled mr. bossman about mr. ellroy's childhood, and how his mother was found murdered, thus shaping his literary style, his female characters, etc... by this time i had him, and a couple of other people truly interested when i realized this i looked down mumbled, "um, yeah" and blushed something awful *sigh* baby steps, right? later....... |
