who wants to marry my dad?

squeeze my lemon til the juice runs down my leg - led zepplin

i watched big brother 4 last night. it was boring. there are two guys i'd give a jump though. one has wavy blond hair, and a killer body. yeah, he's alright.

i can't get over the amount of reality television. there are many shows that get on my nerves, or that i think are just stupid and i refuse to watch (paradise hotel, anyone?), but, i think i've just heard of the one that takes the cake....."who wants to marry my dad?". this guys kids are trying to hook him up w/ a potential wife. i can only imagine the sentimental, smarmy build up, the sappy story of how "mom" dies, how hard it was for "dad", all of which is no little thing, but what decent person wants to make that painful family business fodder for a reality game show?

yuck!

maybe i'm too private, too conscious of how i'm percieved by others, but, if i'm too concerned, that family isn't concerned enough.

cupid is another show that is annoying. lisa, the "prize" is annoying. when she asked one guy why he was "intriguing", i thought i'd borch. what if someone asked her what made her captivating? it's like, you know what those words mean, but could you answer a question like that without a moments hesitation? plus, there's that pompous ass factor. you don't want to sound like a complete tool. like, "well, i'm so great because, blah, blah, blah...", you know?

i think most people have that thing in them that prevents them from being a blowhard.

so, this is what my life has been reduced to, reality tv round up. i need to get out more. i felt guilty about going out, and having fun because of my grandpa, but i'm starting to come around. matt's been like, "wanna go here, wanna go there?", but, i've been telling him no. i think he's been going a bit stir crazy. i'm totally not complaining, he's been fucking awesome. my sweet boy's the greatest. he's right though, it's time to get back into the swing of things.

this weekend, it's on.

i did get us tix to see interpol in october, at the palladium. that's gonna be fantastic.

late...
