2003-07-20 - 7:39 p.m. it's just like heaven, being here with you - rosie & the originals hey, my grandpa's doing okay. he's still in the icu, but if he continues to improve, he'll be in a regular room soon. it still sux though cuz even when he gets to a regular room, he'll still be in the hospital for about 5 more days. the important thing is that he's getting better. none of us is fooling ourselves though. he still has months of recuperating, and he's gonna need a live in nurse. we have a huge family, but none of us is medically trained, and my poor grandmother can't do it without help. i've been so worried, sad, and busy, i can't even begin. the horribleness of my grandpa's heart attack, the annoyingness of certain family members, sitting around a hospital, and still trying to live your life has been pretty sucky. matt's been so, so great. i love him more than i can ever say. he's my everything. since all this stuff has been going on, it seems i've missed so much in the "outside world". white stripes tix came and went, other shows, etc. i'm not at all complainging, it's just amazing how life throws you these fucking gnarly curve balls, and everything just stops, except that nothing stops at all. do i make any sense? i did catch, "queer eye for the straight guy" on bravo. that show is fantastic! the fashion guy is hilarious, and the grooming guy is fucking hot. palo alto's cd is pretty great. the cute guy at the gym has been super nice. there's good stuff along with the bad. i guess that's what life is all about, right? later... |
