what the world needs now...

love is a battlefield - pat benatar

taking a break from my pre valentine's day meal. i'm making chicken mole. that's mo as in ho-mo, and le as in le-t's spend the night together. not mole like celebrity mole hawaii. by the way, what is the point of that show? i just don't get it.

the sauce has chocolate in it, and hopefully it'll be at least 1/4 as good as my nana's. she actually offered to make it for me, but that's not right. yeah, so dinner's tonight, and X is tomorrow. yippee! i also got us tickets to see sahara hotnights, and ikara colt at the roxy next month. so stoked about that.

yesterday, i ended up at amoeba. i was bored and just wanted to do something cool, so took a drive down to hollywood. i walked around and around. hogging up the listening station. i bought ted leo and the pharmacists. it's very, very good.

i didn't tell matt what i was planning on making, and here's why. i figure that if i fuck this up, then i can make something else and spare myself some embarrassment. not that i'm planning on fucking this up, but bad things happen to good people everyday.

i've got candles, soft music, the table is gonna look incredible. at least all that stuff is taken care of. this is the most serious valentine's day dinner i've ever had. with mando it was more sexual. before matt, i thought what mando and i had was pretty serious. now, upon further consideration, and hindsight, i see that what we had was a sort of loving friendship with lots of sex thrown in. we talked, we liked each other a lot, and the sex, well, i'm getting a woody just thinking about it, BUT, we weren't really in love. or at least not -

end of subject

i'm embarrassed. i'm out...

-take it / leave it-
