2002-08-17 - 9:22 p.m. do you wanna touch? yeah! - joan jett hey, last night i went to the grand re-opening of club cherry.
i used to go to the first incarnation in west hollywood a few years back. i hate the club that it's now held. the key club on sunset. i don't know what it is about that place, but i've never dug it. last night was fun though. it's like glam/new rock/glitter punk decadence on a stick. i loved dancing to the hives/ the strokes/ iggy/ runaways/ white stripes/ etc. getting dressed up, and dancing to non traditional "club" music. sadly, i was mattless. he's down in o.c. visiting some relatives of his mom's. he'll be back manana. mattlessness=suckiness. i really need to go back to cherry. i used to go all the time, and what happened? i don't know. the clubs in l.a. sorta suck though cuz they open around 10, and they close at 2a/m. so, after waiting in line for half an hour, or whatever, you really only have a good coupla hours to dance. although, this club stayed open later at least. i thought i was gonna knock out at work today. i could barely keep my eyes open. i swear, if it was socially acceptable, i woulda just layed down on the floor, and fell asleep. no shit, man. we listened to the velvet goldmine soundtrack on the way to hollywood last night. it's quite good. i picked it up after work. i can't believe i found it. the music stores around smltwn suck ass. but, i found it, and used to boot. yippee!! i also bought lou reeds greatest hits. i have had the cassette for years, but it finally took a shit on me, and busted. besides, i don't have a tape player in my car. i wish i did, cuz i still have a shitload of tapes. i'm soooo bored right now. i thought i'd get home, shower, and crash. yeah right. it's like 9 thirty, and i'm rearing to go, but with nowhere to go. too lazy to actually go out, but hating just sitting here. uugghhh!! well, i figure something out. later... |
