2002-04-10 - 11:16 p.m. the cuervo gold, the fine columbian, make tonight a wonderful thing...steely dan can i just say i fucking love that song. hey nineteen. i remember it so well growing up. tonight i finally managed to shower, and matt came over, and we went to danny's mini pad. it's the cutest little apartment. matt had some vinyl that he wanted to transfer to c.d. so we had a coupla beers, smoked a bowl, and listened to old punk. god, all those songs bring back so many memories. wild in the streets, amoeba, institutionalized, bloodstains. all this really good socal 80's punk. being a "punker" in my neck of the woods back in the early to mid 80's was quite an educational experience. as if i wasn't called fag enough, sheesh. oh well, what are you gonna do? i've been a "weirdo" all my life, and then all of a sudden like in high school, the cure comes out w/ lovesong, and then EVERYBODY loves them, and "alternative" was born. when i listened to adam and the ants, flock of seagulls, the cure, duran duran, et. al. we called it "new wave" this was like in 4th grade, more or less. then in jr. high i got into punk. it was so revolutionary, and extremely conducive to my wheredoifitin/whydoilikeboysthewayido/whatswrongwithme mentality. it's good that kids have that avenue. i mean, they can't all like n'sync. can they? no, the kids are alright. although, i do think justin is a total babe. i'm so gay!! matt thinks i'm hilarious because i even know who justin is. he prides himself on not being able to tell the diff between backstreet and n'sync. i know them all by name. i used to watch trl. first because of carson, then brian mcfadden, now i crush on gideon yago. in my defense, matt also thinks gideon is sexy. it's the glasses. he likes brian too, but who wouldn't? he's goodlooking in that obvious sort of way. of course there's the guys that we go round and round about. i like noah wylie, matt doesn't. matt likes bruce willis, me- notsomuch. we both like matt dillon, jude law, and ewan mcgregor. i want to give brandon boyd a toungebath, matt claims he, "doesn't see it". basically though, i'm the 15 year old girl in this relationship. so we're at danny's, and we're watching the creek, and they showed jack, the gay guy, and i get annoyed. firstly, coz it's not enough to have gay characters on t.v. if you're gonna have a gay character, please give them a life. i'm not saying i expect a realistic re-enactment of butt love, but can he at least have a fucking boyfriend? he's pretty cute, he's about 19, and he's in college. but he has no love life? he's this asexual being? yeah fuckin' right!! same for will of will and grace. that show is so well written, and i LOVE sean hayes, and megan mullally. but what about will? the excuse on that show is that he is still damaged goods from a previous long term relationship. nobody takes that long. it's just easier to keep them asexual. everybody was up in arms about all these gay characters infiltrating the airwaves, which = psyches of impressionable, i.e. retarded americans. and the kicker is that all these harmful gay images are so goddam asexual that they might as well be fucking eunuchs. jesus, do i have my knickers in a twist!! so either we're the stylishly dressed, quick witted quipsters w/ no sex life to speak of, OR, the queer as folk style backrooms, and bar cock gobblers. ladies and gents, i'm through. kill your television. OUR revolution definitely will NOT be televised.
